Data mining/Digital footprints
After watching the videos on data mining and digital footprints, I realized that every single thing that you do and search online is remembered and recorded, which can be either a good or bad thing, depending on who you are online. The videos that were posted on the blog, digital dossier and Eli Pariser: beware online "filter bubbles" helped me understand exactly what a digital footprint is, and explained how people get an online dossier. The first video about digital dossiers exaplined to me that people will have an online profile basically before they are born, because their parents are sending out ultrasound pictures as well as posting them online, and after the person is born, they start creating their own by searching for information on Google or creating profiles on websites such as Facebook or Twitter. The second video explained to me that the web somehow filters the results you get when you search on Google or any other search engine. The internet remembers what you look up and what information you give to websites, when registering for something or buying an item online, and filters the results for searches based on what your history is. My personality online is exactly the same as it is in person, because I don't post things online that I would find to be innappropriate or that I wouldn't say in person.

Today's Technology
Although there are countless new pieces of technology that people use daily, I find the radio the best. If you think about it, a radio is a pretty complicated system that requires a certain kind of knowledge to make or fix. The fact that people are able to pick up radio waves and put the into the systems we listen to in our cars or homes is pretty cool. Radios have come a long way since the first one was invented, seeing as the radios today are so advanced that we can minipulate the bass, tebble, balance, ect. The first radio was nothing like today's, so I find it pretty interesting that we have evolved so much in a short amount of time.

Technology of Today
Of all the different types of technology being advanced,i think the most
amazing is a phone. The iPhone especially. The phones of today have so
many things that were never together before.A iphone basically is a
computer and phone combined. Also people use to have to buy CD'S,but now
we have iTunes, which can also fit on a phone.Phones are now personal
mobile computers(PMC).Soon, the only user interface(UI) will ever need to learn is that of their phones. There is speculation that soon the screens will be able to bend, and even project images.Phones can help people with so much, they even have GPS'S to help people find their way.Phones could possibly have 3D technology without the use of glasses.I use my phone for everything,i feel weird without it,because if i ever have a question,or need to find somewhere,it's so much easier to pull something out of my pocket instead of going on a computer.
.21st Century Skills: What Do We Do? review
haleys video is very interesting. it really gets you hooked to see what is next. the music is very entertaining and blends well into the information. it is overall a well made video and very informative towards technology we have today
Today's Technology
After reading Jason's link about the new "Facebook" phone I honestly think it's a good advancement in technology but it would just be another distraction to the upcoming generation. Compared to when i was younger I never had a facebook or even the internent but now kids as young as two or three have all this technology they can use. Also with kids getting cellphones at younger ages i feel if they got this phone it would just use this in school all day and not pay any attention. After observing all the technology we really do use this week i have noticed that it can be a bad thing kids are already really distracted by cell phones but with in the next couple years they'll be so advanced who knows what they could do. Then with Jason's Stephen Hawking video as long as it was to watch he does bring up some valid points in our world and technology.

Inspiration
While looking at Inspitration there are many examples provided that can help you in different subjects. For example when on Inspiration they have subjects like Science, English Language Arts and Socicial Studies. Under the Science tab they have a really cool example of the six kingdom groups that you would learn in biology. Along with the graphic organizer it had little notes and pictures. Also with the templetes under ELA they had may diferent types you could use. If you were to write a pursuassive essay you could have a template for that. All the examples and templetes on inspiration are extremely helpful.
