Big 6

I hope everyone had a great vacation!
This week we are going to learn about the Big 6 problem solving model.
The world that we live in is so saturated with information that  it is difficult to know where to begin and how to locate, evaluate , and use all that information. Hopefully, you will learn skills that will not only help you in school, but in your personal life as well.

QR codes

I never really knew about QR codes because I don't have a smartphone. I used to just see them everywhere and not pay attention. But, they are really cool and very useful!

The Perfect Blog

This week you have been looking at what a blog is and have found some examples of "good" blogs. If you were to set up a perfect blog, what would it look like? Would  it be closed to members or open to everyone? What kinds of things would you include in it? Would you add things like pictures, videos, and podcasts?

This Is Interesting!

I never thought I would have found all of this so interesting, but it really is. Sure it was rather confusing when I first started, but I'm hoping to really get the hang of this soon!

Excited, but confused

Blogging is a fun experience, but I find it rather hard to get used to. I have blogged before, only for school, and that did not teach me much about how to use a blog. I am excited to learn the proper way to go about blogging and finding out helpful tips that will make me want to use blogging in the future.

I'm Excited!

I have heard a lot about blogs recently, but have never really used one before. So, I am excited to learn new things about it and how to use it to benefit me!

Let's Experiment!

This is my first time using a blog, and I definitely have to take some time to learn about it, but I think that after a few times of talking and commenting back and forth with other classmates, I will get used to it fairly quickly. So far, I have not seen any other comments from classmates of this term (besides Jess right before me!), so I hope that everybody begins to experiment with it so that we can start communicating with each other. Being able to do this online, which allows us to work from home if we need to, is a very helpful advantage, and I can't wait to get started!

Welcome Bloggers!

This week we will start using this forum to communicate with each other on a daily basis. Add at least one comment discussing the new things you are learning about in LIB/IT this week. Read the posts that your classmates have made and comment on at least two of them. Have you ever used a blog before? It is still a little new to me too so we can learn some new things along the way. This week we will be looking at resources that can be found on other library websites. Are you finding any new resources that you might be able to use in your classes?
