Political Bias in the Media
As you can see from the examples on the Wiki this week, political bias is nothing new in the media. Why do you think the media is so important to politicians? Many believe that television played a significant role in the election of President Kennedy. Why do you think that is so? What kinds of media tools do politicians rely on today?

Media is important to politicians because media can make them look really good or really bad. Media can be used for or against them. Politicians rely on media tools like commercials and the radio so that they can promote their own ad.
The media is important to politicians because the media influences everyone and people are easily given into believing in the media. Politicians then are able to manipulate people with having the media create descriptions about rival politicians. I think people believe the television played a significant role in the election of President Kennedy because he was one of the first presidents to be recorded on television so often. Media tools politicians rely on today are advertisements and recordings of activity politicians do. The smallest scandal a politician does would also be their downfall because the media would be all over it.
The media is so important to politicians because people are hearing the names of them everyday and what they are doing to change the way things are. The media can create bad images on the politicians by other politicians saying one fault about them.
Yes, just look at the news over the past few weeks. Things can change for a political front runner almost over night.
