The Power of the Media

Media and the way that we get information has changed drastically over the past few years. We communicate with kinds of media that did no even exist a few years ago. We learned about the world around us by reading the newspaper, watching the news on TV or listening to the radio. Now we have all kinds of social media, and the news that we receive through the more traditional venues has changed its whole structure. Opinions are as much a part of the news as the facts are and the global community has in many ways become the eyes of the world. News programs ask their audience to "follow them on Facebook" or "send in photographs and Tweets" to share with the public. How do you feel about these changes? How has your role changed? What shills do you think are important for you to have as you navigate this rapidly changing world?

People need to be able to manage their time with technology, but also understand it. People rely too much on technology and it is not good. But, people need to stay up-to-date in order to keep up with the rapid changes that are occurring.

Like Jess said, technology, like anything, is good in moderation
